How to Build Your Own Blog – Easy Step By Step Instructions

Today I will teach you how to build your own blog from scratch with easy step by step instructions. This will help give you a strong presence online and help you build a relationship with your followers or your consumers if you have an online business.

Alright first things first your going to need a domain name. I’m pretty sure everyone has heard of GoDaddy.com GoDaddy email login. This where you can go and get your domain name which is like your personal real estate on the Internet.

Step 2- You will see a domain search bar. It’s going to say New.Coms and .Cos $11.99 and right below that is the search bar. In the search bar your going to type in your chosen domain name. It should be your name. For example yourname.com or if you have an online business it should be your company name.info. Just type your chosen name in the search bar without the www. After that’s done click the green go button.

Step 3- Your page will relocate and you will see if your chosen domain name is available or not. If it is just click the green Add button and then click the orange continue to registration button. A popup will show on your page. Just click the orange No Thanks button.

Step 4- Your page will relocate once more to the Domain Registration Information page. Just fill in your information and when your done just click the orange Next button. Once that’s done your domain settings is next. Choose how long you want you domain registration to be. I suggest just one year but the choice is yours. You also can leave it uncertified also. Once your done with that click the orange Next button. Next up is your privacy and domain protection. Just stick with the standard registration. Once your done with that click the orange Next button. The last thing is to activate your website. Here you will see email and hosting offers. You don’t need any of these. So just scroll down and click the orange Next button.

Step 5- you will be taken to your cart. Make sure all your information is correct. Once your done click the orange Continue to Checkout button to your right. Next will be your log in information. Look for Or, Create New Account. Then look for 2. Log In Information. There your going to create a password and call-in-pin. Make sure the password is something you can remember. Once your done click the orange Continue to Checkout button. Next will be your payment information. Fill that out and then click the orange Place Order button. After that your going go to the confirmation page.

Step 9- scroll down until you see three hosting options. You want the one in the middle that says Baby Plan. You will see Starting at $7.95/mo. Click the arrow next to it and you will see 1 year – $9.95. this is the one you want to chose. Once you do that click order now.

Step 10- your page will relocate and you will see two options. Keep in mind we already bought a domain name so your going to want the option on the right which says I Currently Own a Domain Name. Just type your domain name in the space below. Once your done with that scroll down and you will see Enter a Coupon Code. Erase the code in the space below and then enter RichKidz2011 in the space. Enter that code just as you see it written here. Once your done with that click Continue To Step 2.

Step 11- your page will relocate to the Billing Information page. Here you will chose a username and a security pin and fill out your billing information. Your order should come out to $0.01. Once your done with that click create an account.

Step 12- once your done with that you will get an email with all your info in it. This email is very important. So hang on to it you will need it later.

Now it’s finally time to create your blog. This is the moment we all have been waiting for. So pay attention this may be the most difficult part of this step by step how to guide.

Step 13- log into both your GoDaddy account and your HostGator cpanel. Your login information and cpanel link are in your GoDaddy and HostGator emails. (your GoDaddy and HostGator accounts should be open in two different tabs).

Step 14- Once you Log into your GoDaddy account click on Domains which is located on that green bar. Once you’ve done that look for domain management. Which is under Go To… On the far right of the Domains drop down.

Step 15- Look to your left and you should see My Products written in yellow. Under domains click domain manager. Once your inside your domain manager check the box next to your domain name. Once you do that look for nameservers. It’s an icon with three gold coins. Click on it. Then select set nameservers. A popup will appear. Click the last option which says I have specific nameservers for my domain.
